Two nights wild camping on a loop from Ravenglass.July 2019
Id not been out for a few wks so with a supposed cool wknd i thought id have a trip out before a family holiday.I took the train up the coast and leaving the train headed for the beach,to start this walk It was lovely to be walking through a big old forest and then pick up this for a short while If you watch the video,i heard a big fight going on in the forest, it was warm in the forest so i gave up getting any closer to it,but if anyone can recognise the noise,id love to know-all i could get was what sounded like some Magpies,but there was much more going on I spotted this tower as i made my way up out of the valleys,but the ground to it was some really tough rough going,but what a view.The peak was aptly named Station Tower 554ft I picked up some more little peaks on my way to Devoke water and was treated to a buzzard or two and then a pair of Perigne falcons, i think.More rough ground helped me decide to camp at Devok
