Day 3 started with blue skies and a temp of 6c but there was a fresh wind for the first part of the morning and once packed we set about exploring this huge long valley

The snout of Oarjep Ruohtesjiegna glacier |
The Smajlajjahka river was thick and murky with glacier run off,so we followed it for a while till we found a good spot to cross, the problem with these rivers is you cant see how deep they are,or where the bigger boulders are
Above where we came from and below where were wandering too
Even with this cloud coverage we had the solar panels on our packs,i picked up 55% charge back into my battery pack, this day
As we strolled along taking in the views we saw some others camped on a small island in the river, infront of us the blue skies were building nicely
I think this is the peak Tjaggnaris
We reached the only emergency shelter in the Sarek park Satellite phone too) at dinner time and had lunch there as we met a few others coming from the other valleys, which all joined here
It was back on Day 1 that i found one of my fuel bottles had been crushed and forced open,so i only had 1 bottle, lucky for me there was some fuel here, that someone had left so i added some of it to my bottle (One of the reasons i always carry my fuel in two bottles )

All mod cons....Loo with a view ! |

Just left off the middle is valley we came down |
Think there are only 2 bridges in the park too, theres a big deep gorge here,so we were glad they bridged it
After dinner is when the temperature started to climb,we were soon down to our shirts
This crossing was not very wide but was extremely strong, plus due to the glacier melt in it,it was impossible to see the bottom, was glad to be across it

The peak of Bierikbakte 1680m |
When we saw this stunning mountain we decided to camp, but it took a good 30 mins before we could find somewhere
Once the sun dropped it was nice and cool again with some lovely light being thrown about, time to drink brews have some soup, then later a good filling tea
Thanks for looking,Safe travels Peter
