Norway/Sweden above the Artic circle,with two MLD Trailstars...Day 2 Sept 2019

The rain died off through the night to leave us with dry flysheets as we ate breakfast and repacked for the day ahead

It was a nice 12c when we set off following a very good track that leads up to the huts at Hunddalshytta, the views were great everyway you looked as we climbed very slowly and the path disappeared

The temp climbed as the morning ticked away and the scenery just got better and better, pictures do not do this section justice

We stopped often and had a long lunch too,the views out towards Sealggajiekna

Sealggajiekna lake

Here we turned a little more to the West towards Leirvatnet lake

This section has to be some of the most spectacular ive ever been lucky enough to travel through, the good weather and company helped too

I think the peak behind these falls is Sealggaćohkka

We really needed to try and get some more miles in,but when planning this section out i was unsure about finding much good  to camp on,over the next 8 miles or so.
So when we strolled over to the south shore of Leirvatnet....it was just too good to leave behind

The best and driest ground was very close to the lake shore edge, but the last forecast we had seen, did not show any wind or bad weather

We brewed and enjoyed the views as i took more and more pictures as i walked all around, this is the best placed ive ever pitched my shelter ..just so pretty...no wind...no noise...clear skies

My As-Tucas down quilt didnt need airing but it was such nice weather and warm too

The night was a bit cloudy but i thought id try and see if i could catch any Northern lights,as luck would have it i caught a little of it, sadly this would be all we got on this trip....

A thanks to Darron Linney as he cleaned and worked on these images for me

As it was now past 9-30 pm i returned to my shelter had one last brew and fell soundly asleep as the lake gently lapped onto the shingle beach .

Just over 11 miles
