Days 3 and 4 off our Knoydart trip
So Tuesday dawned great again, another day started above the clouds.Todays first peak was Luinne Bheinn,we saw these guys hanging around |
This happened to be Lee,s 100th Munro |
On route to Meall Buidhe |
Ive never carried a brolly before and never dreamed of using it to keep the heat off..But this being a great wk the weather peaked at 27.1 c as we descended into the valley heading to Sourlies bothy |

Loch Nevis was a lovely green and clear site |
Sgurr na Ciche looking big |
September in scotland !! |
We choose to camp outside due to the sad amout of rubbish that was filling lots of bags in the bothy, sadly i think CW walkers are using it as a rubbish dump
As the sun dropped the midge came out and the temp dropped nicely,so i tfollowed the tide out,was nice to have the sea between my toes....two pans of fresh Mussels for a late supper |
Next morning and yes the sun was shining out of a great blue sky again |
Last time i did these peaks it was a wet windy struggle following that wall, which seemed to go on for ever...never seeing a thing...no such problems today |
Can nearly see the end of the walk |
Time for a brew camped on Gairbh Chioch Bheag |
We camped around 4-30 ish and sat supping a little wisky just looking out to sea |
It was a lovely nite but the wind picked up too 20-35 through mid evening and remained till the end of the walk ....but im not complaing |
Another set of cracking images Peter.
