So the weather settled and folk were posting up inversion pictures,so i was smiling away as i left home at 6 am under the thick wet fog that covered South Cumbria I met my brother at Staveley and we took one car up and over the pass too Glenridding the mist had cleared but i was still hopeful it would return Packs on we left the cold valley and as the sun slowly rose the valley started to fill with some low mist,the cold air mixing with wood smoke Glenridding Dodd gave a great view of the low mist crawling down the lake from Pooley Bridge,as Jamie ticked of the first new peak of the trip One of my new favorite hill snacks put some more fuel in as we left Sheffield pike,from there we skirted around Glencoyne Head to pick off Hart side In the sun it was 7-9 c and the views as we got higher were superb,the inversion was further away from us but all the way out to sea and further north towards Dumfries It was getting busy as we approached Helvellyn summit so we snuck off to collect ca
