Poolewe to Kinlochewe Day 2
Day 2 of this trip started dry with some nice high cloud, much relief after the mid 20s of the day before,we dropped back down to the col left the sacks and clambered up Ruadh Stac Mor
Back to the packs we cut across to the low col at 544m and then the steep pull to the North end of Beinn Tarsuinn, what a great bit of ridge it was along to the table top and then onto the summit. When id been last time a strong 60-70 mph wind had me crawl to the summit from the East side,no such problems this time
Lovely cloud sat on the summits of Sgurr Ban and Mullach coire Mhic Fhearchair
We came across some of the wild goats on our way across, these were much bigger than ive seen before
Beinn Tarsuinn ridge
Looking down Gleann Muice towards Shenaval bothy
We used the bypass path on Meall Garbh and then the stiff pull up onto the highest of these prized peaks..Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair
We carried on over the top, left the packs at the col and had a nice walk up onto Sgurr Ban.Id spied a spot to camp and luckily it was a nice spot and only about 100 ft down from the col
Shelters up we got caught in a short shower while collecting water but wind shirts soon dryed after the shower had passed,a lovely evening again
Tonites tea was another Bla Bland and a favorite of this range...it was soon gone
Shelter view across to the Fanniches
It had been a tough day with some rough ground but i nipped back up to the col after tea and there was some lovely light and clouds around
A'Maighdean and ruadh Stac Mor in the evening light
Some Lakeland Toffee Vodka to end another great days wandering
